This Cactus Is Insulting Me

One thing I’ve learned in Beijing is that everyone is pretty health conscious. That includes drinking lots of tea and water during the day, drinking lukewarm or hot water and never cold/ice water, eating on time and never skipping meals, and coworkers taking power naps at their desks. Some time ago, Judy bought me a few Cactus plants from the local IKEA to put on my desk. I was surprised when she told me that they were supposed to absorb radiation from my LCD monitor, and later found that this is somewhat common knowledge among people in the office. Of course, I immediately did a quick search on the internet and realized there are many who share this view.  Image Only two of the three cactus plants are still left, as it has been almost a year now. But this morning, I took a closer look, and it definitely looks like one of them is flipping me off. Right?  Image 1 Anyway, back to work…

“I am proud to say that your genealogy has been the sole tutorial for my Asian-inspired culinary adventures for years; probably since you began. Time and again, my worldwide web pursuits for solid recipes that I know my family will eat has landed me back here.”
